From the feedback we have recieved from presentations our idea has developed alot from the comic conversion design. Our Concept is still based upon the subject of sound however we have left aside the comic soundwords design as this was to industry based.
Instead we have developed the idea of experimenting with the acoustics of letterforms, so for example the letter 'O' would it echo?, would it be very loud or soft? and just how the sound would get manipulated by the letter form.
We discussed about the issues of which fonts, styles, colours etc we should use. We decided that we will use a mixture of serif and san-serif typography as we suspect that both styles would make different manipulations to the sound. We shall try to make the letters as realistic as possible and see if we can make the sound change to the material too, for example if the letter 'O' had a metalic effect then it would make a metallic sound.
